Ash Sutton completes Laser Tools Racing test
Team BMR driver Ash Sutton has spent a day at the wheel of the Laser Tools Racing Infiniti Q50 to aid the team with development of the rear-wheel drive car.
The team elected to switch to the Infiniti during the summer break, having brought forwards plans to run the car from the start of the 2020 season.
Whilst Aiden Moffat has enjoyed a solid start to life with the Q50, the young Scot has no prior experience of rear-wheel drive machinery – leading to Sutton being brought in in order to provide fresh feedback and give an indication of where improvements to the package can be made.
“I was really impressed with the Infiniti – there is certainly lots of potential with that car,” he said. “I think the Laser Tools guys just wanted a benchmark and I was keen to try and help out.
“The ingredients are in the car to make it a force, and it is just a question of unlocking the speed from it. They will certainly make progress over the latter part of the year.”
