Hyundai, Volkswagen hit maximum compensation weight for Oschersleben
Hyundai and Volkswagen will both run with maximum compensation weight when the TCR Europe Series heads for Oschersleben this weekend for the fifth meeting of the year.
The Hyundai i30 N TCR has gained 20kg following the Red Bull Ring whilst the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR has gained 10kg, which means both cars will now run with the maximum of 60kg during the German race weekend.
The Red Bull Ring had been the only meeting this season where the Hyundai hadn’t carried 60kg, whilst the Volkswagen is back at full weight for the first time since the season opener in Hungary back in April.
Elsewhere, the Audi RS 3 LMS has dropped 20kg and will run with an additional 30kg of compensation weight, whilst the Peugeot 308 TCR has also lost weight and will now also run 30kg having been at the maximum of 60kg in Austria.
Having run without compensation weight for the past two meetings, the Cupra TCR will now carry 30kg with the Honda Civic TCR FK8 also picking up weight to run at 20kg.
The Renault Megane TCR runs unchanged without any compensation weight onboard.
