Dan Lloyd dropped to 18th after his Q2 times are wiped out

Dan Lloyd will start both of this weekend’s TCR Europe series races at Spa-Francorchamps from 18th after the Brutal Fish Honda driver was deemed to have illegally competed in Q2.

Lloyd was on target to set a time which would have put him into Q2, before the red flags were waved after Target driver Josh Files crashed out at Raidillon.

Despite his timing not counting on the official sheets, the Slovakian team sent Lloyd out into Q2 anyway, with the Briton one of 12 cars on track, as the Peugeot 308TCR of Teddy Clairet was unable to take part after he himself had damaged his car at Raidillon.

Lloyd was the closest threat to the two Belgian Audis, but with his Q2 participation now revoked, WRT Volkswagen driver Maxime Potty is moved up to third for Race 1, with Ash Sutton fourth on the grid in his WRT Volkswagen.

The reversed grid for Race 2 is also affected, with Target Hyundai driver Dusan Borkovic now promoted to tenth and inheriting the reversed grid pole position ahead of his former team-mate Davit Kajaia.
