Jonas Lynge to make championship debut at Anderstorp

Danish driver Jonas Lynge will join the TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship grid next weekend for the second round of the season at Anderstorp, racing an Insight Racing-run Honda Civic Type R FK2 TCR.

Lynge, who won the 2017 and 2018 Danish Citroën DS3 Cup titles with 12 victories across the two seasons, will join the Scandinavian series at Anderstorp, with the team fielding a Honda for Lynge, and continuing to run an Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR for fellow Dane Louise Frost.

“It’s all new to me, and it’s a challenge I really look forward to,” said Lynge to Boxengasse.dk.

“For this season I actually didn’t really have anything planned. There were several things in play, but the economics unfortunately decided that I wouldn’t come out beforehand. So, it’s nice that this opportunity appeared, and that it happened so quickly.”

Lynge’s addition to the grid brings the entry up to 13 cars, and two Hondas in the field alongside the MA:GP Honda Civic TCR of Mattias Andersson.
