Wall Racing could expand to three Hondas during 2019 season

Wall Racing is currently investigating the possibility to expand to three Hondas during the 2019 TCR Australia series season.

“It is very likely that we will expand beyond our two current cars,” said team owner David Wall.

“The maximum number of cars you can run per marque is five, and there’s no reason we couldn’t run three, potential four in the near future.”

The team is currently fielding two cars for drivers John Martin and Tony D’Alberto, who is third in the standings after the Sydney Motorsport Park season opener.

“The interest increased when Tony put the car on pole and we had the second and third fastest laps (in Race 1) in race trim. The product is obviously good enough and they sell themselves,” said Wall.

“The series is new, but there has been an increase in people wanting to be involved in some way shape or form. Hopefully we can grow our team in the near future.”

The team has not yet stated which drivers they are talking to, other than that Wall himself is considering getting behind the wheel of the third Honda Civic TCR.
