Jessica Bäckman joins TCR Germany grid for Most

Jessica Bäckman is going to make a one-off appearance in the TCR Germany series races at Most this weekend.

The 21-year-old is going to drive for Team Engstler as she is one of the drivers selected for the Hyundai Customer Racing Junior programme.

“I’m very happy with this opportunity, because I did not expect that. I was surprised when I got the offer, I do not know the track in Most yet, but my goal is to be at the front,” said Bäckman.

The Swedish driver is racing for Target Competition in the TCR Europe series, placed 13th after the opening weekend at the Hungaroring where she finished ninth in the first race.
