Ollie Taylor added to Oulton Park entry
The 2018 runner-up Ollie Taylor has become the latest addition to the TCR UK line-up for the season opener at Oulton Park this weekend.
Taylor, who drove a Pyro Motorsport Honda Civic Type R last year, will be at the wheel of Maximum Motorsport’s Cupra in the opening two races of the year – which marks the first time TCR UK will have run alongside the new Touring Car Trophy.
Taylor is one of five cars running in the TCR UK class alongside fellow returnees Lewis Kent, Carl Swift and Darrelle Wilson.
Kent will continue with his Hyundai i30 N TCR with Swift contesting the opening round in his Cupra. Wilson meanwhile will once again race his Vauxhall Astra TCR.
Hong Kong national Sunny Wong will be the only newcomer at the wheel of his Teamwork Huff Motorsport Volkswagen Golf in his first campaign outside Asia.
Outside the TCR UK class, two NGTC cars will feature with Henry Neal in his Team Dynamics-run Honda Civic Type R and Britcar racer Alex Day racing the ex-Rob Austin Audi A4.
James Turkington, brother of reigning BTCC champion Colin, completes the grid in his SEAT León Supercopa Mk2, which will be run by Ciceley Motorsport.
