Rik Breukers secures one-off drive for Melbourne Performance Centre
Dutch driver Rik Breukers has secured a one-off drive for Melbourne Performance Centre in the season opener of the 2019 TCR Australia series season.
“I’m really looking forward to my first race in Australia,” said Breukers.
“It will be my first visit to the country and I’m very grateful and happy with the deal to compete with Melbourne Performance Centre in the Audi RS 3 TCR car. We will do our best to get a good result and to represent Audi in the best way possible.”
The 20-year-old, who is driving an Audi R8 LMS in the Blancpain Endurance GT Championship for team WRT, will drive an Audi RS 3 LMS for the Australian team.
Breukers will not take part in the Winton test day next week due to clashing commitments and the team will instead have the 19-year-old Aaron Cameron behind the wheel.
The 2019 TCR Australia series kicks off on May 18-19th at Sydney Motorsport Park.
