Audi Sport reveal new livery for René Rast
2017 DTM champion René Rast will change colours from his characteristic red to a white-based livery for the series forthcoming season.
Rast will still sport the Audi Sport livery, although this will now be predominantly white colour, in line with the manufacturer’s official team’s livery in the Formula E.
“The new livery looks great,” said Rast. “I feel that it’s very sporty and has an additional recognition effect due to the red rear.”
The 32-year-old became the DTM champion in his first full season in the series and last year set a new record with six back-to-back victories, finishing as runner up just four points behind Mercedes-AMG’s Gary Paffett, and aims to continue on the winning path in 2019.
“My clear aim is to stand on the top step of the podium again several times and to finish the year as champion,” added Rast. ““With the new engine and Aston Martin as a new manufacturer we’re all breaking new ground. Nobody really knows what’s going to happen. These are exciting times for the DTM.”
The 2019 DTM season starts from the 3rd to the 5th of May at Hockenheim.
