26-car entry officially unveiled at WTCR 2019 season launch

The 26 cars and drivers for the 2019 World Touring Car Cup were officially unveiled at the season launch event at Circuit de Catalunya, with the car numbers and team name assignments all revealed.

The entry had been finalised after the confirmation of PWR Racing and the two Cupra TCRs of Daniel Haglöf and Mikel Azcona last week.

The entry was set to be 28 cars, with Hungarian squad Zengo Motorsport set to return with a pair of Peugeot 308TCRs, but the team’s plans have changed with the Hungarian squad suddenly departing the championship after nine years.

Cyan Racing unveiled their team name pairings, with Andy Priaulx and Yann Ehrlacher teaming up under the Cyan Performance Lynk & Co banner, and Yvan Muller and Thed Björk as Cyan Racing Lynk & Co.

Sébastien Loeb Racing’s names SLR VW Motorsport will be used for Rob Huff and Mehdi Bennani, and SLR Volkswagen for Benjamin Leuchter and Johan Kristoffersson.
