Brink Motorsport add third Audi for 16-year-old Hannes Morin
Brink Motorsport has confirmed a third Audi RS 3 LMS for the 2019 TCR Scandinavia championship season for 16-year-old Hannes Morin.
“To start a junior programme with a promising talent like Hannes has been a longterm ambition for us,” said team manager Ted Brink.
Morin comes straight from gokarting and became the youngest ever driver to win the European championship of Rotax Max Senior last year.
“To go straight from karting to TCR Scandinavia is going to be one of the most difficult and biggest things I have done in my life, but I am very much ready and will give it my everything,” said Morin.
Hannes Morin is cousin to Philip Morin who drove for PWR Racing in the STCC last year and will have a role as driver coach.
“It feels great to have Philip by my side as driver coach. He raced at this level last year and know what it takes,” said Morin.
Hannes Morin will made his debut in the race car at the beginning of April at Ljungbyhed Park. Brink Motorsport is yet to confirm the identity of the remaining two drivers for the 2019 season.
