Balance of Performance tests begin at Pininfarina
The tests that will be used to determine the initial Balance of Performance for TCR cars in 2019 has kicked off at the Pininfarina wind tunnel.
In total, 16 different models underwent tests to assess downforce and drag over the course of two days at the Italian facility, with each car being given the same ride height before being tested using three different configuration of rear wing.
Each car was tested for an hour under the watchful eye of TCR technical staff, with the Hyundai Veloster N, Lada Vesta Sport and Lynk & Co 03 amongst the new cars to be tested alongside existing machinery.
Engine testing will now take place at ORAL Engineering before newly-homologated cars hit the track at Valencia.
