Luca Engstler confirmed for 2019 TCR Malaysia season

Reigning TCR Asia and TCR Middle East series champion Luca Engstler has been confirmed to take part in the 2019 TCR Malaysia championship season.

The 18-year-old will drive a Hyundai i30 N TCR for Team Engstler, a team headed by his father Franz Engstler.

Luca Engstler drove a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR in the TCR Asia and TCR Middle East last year but switched to a Hyundai at mid-point of the TCR Germany championship season, finishing second overall, winning three of the last five races.

The German driver becomes the fourth entry for the inaugural TCR Malaysia series season.
