Ceccon, Coronel, Lester and Ma complete Alfa Romeo test at Vallelunga
Romeo Ferraris has completed a two-day test with four drivers behind the wheel of their Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR at Vallelunga.
The drivers present were Kevin Ceccon, who drove for Alfa Romeo squad Team Mulsanne in the 2018 FIA WTCR, Tom Coronel, who raced a Honda for Boutsen Ginion Racing in the WTCR, Jono Lester, who raced in various GT championships, and Ma Qing Hua, who made took part in three WTCR rounds for Boutsen Ginion Racing.
While Ceccon, Coronel and Ma have plenty of touring car experience, 29-year-old Lester from New Zealand got his first taste of TCR machinery at the test and is eying WTCR for next year.
“Thanks so much to Romeo Ferraris for making it possible. Who knows…you may see me here again in 2019,” wrote the Kiwi on his social channels.
Team Mulsanne, that ran two Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCRs in the 2018 WTCR, is yet to confirm their plans for the 2019 season.
