Stuck throttle the cause of Ash Sutton’s practice crash
Team BMR’s Ash Sutton has confirmed a stuck throttle was the cause of his huge second practice crash at Brands Hatch.
The throttle body on Sutton’s Subaru Levorg failed entering Paddock Hill Bend, pitching the outgoing champion head-on into the barriers.
The Team BMR squad now face a race against time to fit a new front end to the Levorg ahead of qualifying, although the shell isn’t thought to be damaged.
Qualifying takes place at 15:20 BST.
OUCH….
Unfortunately the throttle body failed entering turn one and was stuck wide open!
BMR working against the clock to get it ready but thankful they have a comeplete front end ready to go and is already going in…! 👌🏻#BlueBalls pic.twitter.com/StQ7xoqKP6
