Johan Kristoffersson: “I will do what it takes to win”
Johan Kristoffersson lost his STCC points lead after the decision from the Swedish Motorsport Federation (SBF) to reinstate the PWR Racing team’s results from Karlskoga, dropping him from a 14-point lead to seven points behind title rival Robert Dahlgren.
“It is definitely going to be a challenge, but I am going to do what it takes to win. I love when push comes to shove,” said Kristoffersson.
“The only thing I care about is leaving Mantorp as number one. My job is no different if I am first, second or seventh. I can’t do anything but drive as fast as I can.”
Volkswagen Dealer Team Bauhaus has criticised the decision from the SBF, stating that their verdict is unclear.
“What the Disciplinary Board effectively has done is to reject SBF’s own technician’s work and TCR’s wording of the regulations,” said team owner Tommy Kristoffersson.
“We are heading to Mantorp to race and take care of the part that we are best on. But I want to note that we have great trust in the TCR Scandinavia representatives Greger Petersson and Göran Olsson, just as we have for the race director Börje Blomén and SBF’s technician Erik Emanuelsson, all with a lot of competence and vast experience.”
