PWR Racing excluded from first Karlskoga race

The 2018 STCC championship title race has been significantly shaken up after the three PWR Racing Cupra TCRs of Daniel Haglöf, Philip Morin and Robert Dahlgren were excluded for a technical infringement.

Haglöf and Morin had finished 1-2 in the race with Dahlgren fifth, with the Dahlgren and Haglöf then consolidating their top two placings in the drivers’ standings.

A protest from WestCoast Racing was investigated by the officials, with confirmation finalised during the second race that the three PWR Racing cars had been excluded from the race, with Johan Kristoffersson of KMS Racing promoted to the race victory.

The change means Kristoffersson is now tied for the lead of the championship with Robert Dahlgren on 120 points.
