Matías Milla escaped unhurt from 220 km/h crash at San Juan
Sportteam driver Matías Milla walked away unhurt from a heavy shunt at San Juan after suffering a brake failure at over 220km/h during the warm up session. His Citroën C4 Lounge was badly damaged and is likely to be written off.
The 33-year-old was checked at the local hospital and later released with no injuries and returned to the circuit to follow the feature race alongside his team.
“I lost my brakes at over 220 kilometres per hour, it’s a shame for my new C4, which had proven very competitive. I feel sorry for my team. I want to thank my colleagues for stopping on track and expressing concern over me,” wrote Milla on his Twitter account.
