Dan Lloyd romps to maiden BTCC win
Dan Lloyd secured the first win for both himself and the BTC Norlin squad with victory in the final race of the weekend at Croft.
Having joined the team last time out at Oulton Park, Lloyd started from pole position thanks to the reverse grid draw and was never headed when the lights went out.
The TCR UK points leader eased away from the pack behind to eventually take victory by a winning margin of nearly six seconds.
It would prove to be a somewhat quiet affair for the top three in the race, with Tom Chilton jumping ahead of Senna Proctor off the line and the two then holding station to the finish to round out the podium.
Behind however, it was a much more action-packed affair, with Matt Neal holding fourth in the early stages ahead of Andrew Jordan, double winner Ash Sutton and Colin Turkington.
Jordan and Sutton would fight hard over fourth spot, with Sutton getting ahead at Sunny when Jordan ran wide and Turkington then following through, with the Sutton then chasing down Neal ahead.
Although he would briefly get into fourth, Sutton then took a trip through the gravel at turn one after contact with the Honda to drop back down the order, with Neal then running fourth to the finish.
Jordan, Turkington and Sutton would enjoy a three way fight to be top rear-wheel drive runner with Turkington eventually taking fifth spot, with Sutton and Jordan behind.
Sam Tordoff rounded out the top eight, with Tom Ingram taking ninth and Tom Oliphant breaking into the top ten after a long battle with Dan Cammish.
