Edgar Florindo is the first wild card confirmed for Vila Real
Edgar Florindo has been confirmed as the first wild card entry for the Vila Real street circuit race next month on June 23rd-24th.
Edgar Florindo raced in the TCR Iberian series and TCR Portugal championship last year for Speedy Motorsport in a SEAT León TCR, taking two victories in the Portuguese championship, taking his most recent win at the season finale at Portimao.
The 30-year-old will drive again drive a SEAT, now branded as a Cupra for Veloso Motorsport, running with the #13.
As with all wild card entries, Florindo will carry an additional 20kg of weight onboard his Cupra TCR on top of any compensation weight and Balance of Performance measures for the Portuguese event.
“I don’t have specific goals, but I have a commitment to myself to do my best on the track and, above all, to this city,” said Florindo.
“I know my responsibility, which is to represent a city full of motorsport fans, the same city that gave and still gives us excellent drivers. I believe that with determination, work and the support of the huge crowd of Vila Real we will have good results.”
