Attila Tassi sent to the back of the grid for missing the weighbridge

KCMG driver Attila Tassi’s race weekend has gone from bad to worse, after first having his reversed grid Race 2 position setting lap deleted after qualifying, to having all of his times deleted which sends him to the back of the grid for both of today’s races.

Tassi had his first qualifying lap wiped out by the stewards after he exceeded track limits, and then returned to the pit lane where he missed the call for scrutineering checks.

He then proceeded out on track to set a time, going ninth fastest but after having already crossed the chequered flag, which saw his time removed. His weighbridge violation means all his times from Qualifying 1 are also removed, which sends him to the back of the grid, along with the Team Mulsanne Alfa Romeo of Fabrizio Giovanardi, who’d committed the same offence in Q1.
