Senna Proctor hit with two strikes during season opener
First time winner Senna Proctor was amongst the drivers to come away from the BTCC season opener with penalties to their name after picking up his first two strikes of the season at Brands Hatch.
The teenager was penalised for incidents in both the second and third races of the weekend at the Kent circuit which means he is already facing the possibility of being demoted to the back of the grid if found guilty of a further indiscretion.
Proctor was one of eight drivers to be penalised during race day, with seven of those penalties being deemed worthy of a ‘strike’ on a drivers licence.
The only exception was in the opening race, where Chris Smiley and James Cole had their positions reversed.
Race one:
Chris Smiley – 0.6sec time penalty for gaining an unfair advantage
James Nash – Verbal warning for an incident with Senna Proctor
Race two:
Senna Proctor – Verbal warning for an incident with Aiden Moffat
Tom Boardman – Verbal warning for an incident with Matt Neal
Race three:
Mike Bushell – Official reprimand and two penalty points for an incident with Aiden Moffat
