Darelle Wilson happy with first outing in the Vauxhall Astra TCR

DW Racing’s Darelle Wilson got his first running in the Kissling Motorsport-built Vauxhall Astra TCR in the warm up at Silverstone this morning, and was impressed with the car’s pace despite the slippery conditions.

The damp circuit saw the lap times some four seconds slower than yesterday’s best, with Wilson’s best time a steady 1:08.5 around the Silverstone National circuit.

“Yeah I liked it. I was just learning the car really, and it felt like a good car. With the right tyre and right conditions, it can be a winning car, definitely,” he told TouringCarTimes.

“I was happy; I was getting quicker and quicker that’s the main thing. We have another practice and then qualifying, and we’ll see what happens.”
