Micke Kågered Racing expand to two cars for Oscar Krüger and Andreas Ahlberg

Micke Kågered Racing has expanded to two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR race cars for the 2018 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season with Oscar Krüger and Andreas Ahlberg.

”To drive in the STCC has been a dream since I was a kid and it feels unreal that I am going to be on the grid in May,” said Krüger who will make his STCC debut this year for the team.

”The STCC is a really competitive championship and it is going to be nice driving against some of the drivers that I looked up to when I was younger. But we are racing on the same level now and I am really motivated.”

Krüger has previously raced in the Swedish GT and Radical, claiming the 2014 Radical Clubman’s Cup Prosport title.

Micke Kågered Racing made its STCC debut last year with one Volkswagen for Ahlberg who finished ninth overall with one podium finish as his best result.

Ahlberg made his STCC debut in 2012, driving an Audi A4 for BMS Racing, and has previously raced in V8 Thunder Cars Sweden and the Junior Touring Car Championship in Sweden.
