Brutal Fish Racing announce TCR Europe programme

The Brutal Fish Racing Team has become the latest outfit to confirm plans to enter the new TCR Europe series for the 2018 season.

The Slovak-based outfit will run a single Volkswagen Golf GTI for Martin Ryba in the series having previously run in TCR Middle East earlier this year.

There, Ryba took a best finish of eighth place en-route to ninth in the standings.

Brutal Fish is yet to commit to the full season but also hopes to introduce a second car before the of the year.

“Our team is a new member of the TCR family, so we are really very excited to join the new TCR Europe Series for a minimum of four/five events,” Ryba said. “We have already taken part in the TCR Middle East and this was a great experience for all of us. This will be our first season in TCR and our focus will be on gaining as much experience as possible.

“This is going to be a big step forward for me, to join all the big names that have already announced their participation. Our team hopes to have a great time and lots of fun. As the level of the competition is high, I hope to be able to run in the middle of the field and finish every race.”
