Julian Briché and JSB Compétition announce TCR Europe entry
2017 Peugeot Racing Cup champion Julian Briché will join the TCR Europe Touring Car Series this year, running with JSB Compétition with a brand-new Peugeot 308TCR.
The French team has a strong history in single-make touring car series, competing in both the SEAT León Eurocup and the Peugeot Racing Cup, which was launched last year.
“This marks a big step forward for our team, as the TCR Europe series will feature a great deal of strong teams and drivers,” said JSB’s team manager. “For the time being we have finalised the programme for one car, but we are in negotiations with a few other drivers to run a second 308TCR from the beginning of the season.”
Briché is looking forward to the challenge, joining the new TCR Europe Series which kicks off at Paul Ricard on May 6th.
“I am very proud to begin this new adventure in the TCR Europe series with the Peugeot 308TCR,” he said. “The car is well born and has a great potential. It will be a tough championship, with a lot of very fast drivers, but we will do our best to show off.”
