M1RA confirm TCR Europe campaign with Dániel Nagy

M1RA has confirmed a TCR Europe campaign where Dániel Nagy will drive one of the team’s Hyundai i30 N TCR race cars.

“First of all I must say I am grateful for the last two years in WTCC, it was a great experience. Every driver wants to fight for podium finishes just like me, but unfortunately I did not have the real possibility to make this purpose real,” said Nagy.

”Now I need to experience the taste of victories again and TCR Europe is the perfect championship, M1RA is the perfect team to do it. I am very positive ahead of the forthcoming season.”

Nagy has raced for Zengő Motorsport in the past two seasons of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, finishing 19th overall last year with tenth position as his best result.

M1RA ran two Hondas in the 2017 TCR International Series for Attila Tassi and Roberto Colciago, with both drivers in contention for the drivers’ title up until the final round.

“We established M1RA last year with the aim of fighting for wins at international level and this purpose has not changed,” said Dávid Bári of M1RA.

”After being the Teams’ Champions in TCR International in 2017, we would like to reach similar success in TCR Europe as well. I am so happy to welcome Dániel in our team, because we know he is a very talented and young driver. I believe we have the experience to help him with improving as a driver.”
