WTCR – World Touring Car Cup reveal new logo and partner for 2018
The World Touring Car Cup has revealed its new logo, and confirmed car parts retailer Oscaro as its presenting partner for its inaugural season.
The logo is a splice of the previous WTCC brand identity, and that of TCR’s, which has remained the same since the formula launched in 2015.
Oscaro, initially the title sponsor of WTCC driver John Filippi, increased its association with the World Touring Car Championship over the years as one of the WTCC’s principal sponsors, and will be the presenting partner of the WTCR in 2018.
“We are delighted to keep growing our relationship with Oscaro,” said WTCR promoter Francois Ribeiro. “The combination of action-packed races, the variety of TCR cars involved, the sporting fairness and competitiveness, as well as the range of tailor-made sponsorship solutions offered by Eurosport Events, were determinant factors for Oscaro to go to the next level together.”
Pierre-Noël Luiggi, Oscaro’s CEO added: “Becomingthe title partner of the WTCR was a straightforward decision for us. This partnership embodies the real spirit of the OSCARO brand and its true love of real competition. We are very excited by the new dimension of our partnership with Eurosport Events and we can bet the series will be very popular with touring car fans around the world.”
