Gianni Morbidelli joins Valencia BOP test

Italian driver Gianni Morbidelli has been named as the second driver who will take part in the TCR Balance of Performance tests in Valencia.

Dan Lloyd was named as the first driver for the two-day session last week, although the number of cars that will run during the test necessitated the addition of a second person to get behind the wheel.

As a result, multiple race winner Morbidelli – who competed in the TCR International Series for each of its three seasons – will now join Lloyd for the test in Spain.

Cars representing Alfa Romeo, Audi, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lada, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT and Volkswagen are all due to take part in the tests, which will determine the BOP used in the various TCR series’ this season; including the new World Touring Car Cup.
