Dan Lloyd to conduct TCR Balance of Performance tests
British driver Dan Lloyd has been named as the racer who will get behind the wheel of the various TCR cars during the latest Balance of Performance tests in Valencia next week.
Lloyd, who competed in the TCR International Series last season with the Craft Bamboo team, will get behind the wheel of cars from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lada, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, SEAT and Volkswagen during the test, where cars will also undergo a series of dyno checks.
The test will be used to determine the Balance of Performance that will be used throughout the 2018 season in the various TCR series’ across the globe, including the new World Touring Car Cup.
As a result of this, members of the FIA’s technical staff will be present at the test alongside colleagues from TCR to finalise the WTCR’s BOP.
“I’m looking forward to working with TCR to assist them in creating the BoP parameters for the 2018 season,” Lloyd said. “I really enjoyed my time in the TCR International Series last year.
“I have a lot of experience with different FWD cars to help me contribute. Is a lot of trust placed in me by TCR and the brands involved but I’m certainly looking forward to it.”
