Yokohama to supply TCR Europe, TCR Benelux in three-year deal

Yokohama has been appointed as the control tyre supplier for both TCR Europe and TCR Benelux in a three-year deal that will come into effect this season.

The Japanese tyre supplier was confirmed as tyre supplier for the new World Touring Car Cup last week and previously held the role of supplier for the TCR championships in Portugal and Russia, as well as for the one-off TCR Europe Trophy.

TCR Europe will be run across seven events this season, with TCR Benelux racing alongside the European series at five of those meetings.

“Motorsports is in Yokohama’s DNA and we continue to focus on developing our motorsport tyre products and strengthening our involvement in the sport. Our aim is also to continue working closely with the professional drivers and teams offering them, the expert technical knowledge acquired over the years, to guarantee high performance at top level competition as well as ensuring the safety of competitors.”
