M1RA adds Josh Files for TCR finale

The M1RA team has announced that it will field a third car in the upcoming TCR International Series finale in Dubai for British driver Josh Files.

Winner of the TCR Germany title for the past two seasons and inaugural TCR Middle East title winner, Files will be contesting his third meeting in the series having competed at Macau in both 2015 and 2016.

Files will be given the task of supporting M1RA’s two regular drivers, Attila Tassi and Roberto Colciago, who go to Dubai with a chance of lifting the championship crown.

M1RA will also be seeking to wrap up the teams title, with Norbert Michelisz’s outfit currently holding a 71 point lead over Craft Bamboo in the standings.

“This will be my third straight year contesting the final round of the TCR International Series,” he said. “I’m thrilled to be doing it and am aiming to challenge for victories and to help M1RA and Honda achieve their title ambitions, despite the circuit being new to me.

“M1RA have done a superb job in their first year, have an incredible record for such a young team and always field fast and well-presented cars. I can’t wait to get going.”
