Giacomo Altoè to contest TCR Italy finale
Giacomo Altoè will make a return to the TCR Italy series for the season finale this weekend after agreeing a deal to join Target Competition at Monza.
The 17-year-old Italian competed in the Imola round of the championship earlier this year at the wheel of a V-Action Racing-run Alfa Romeo Giulietta before returning focus back to his programme in the TCR International Series.
Altoè had moved from West Coast Racing to M1RA ahead of the Thai round at Buriram but then revealed that he would miss the final two meetings of the campaign after failing to agree terms on a deal to remain with the Honda team.
Rather than being sidelined from action completely however, Altoè will now join Target Competition for the final meeting of the year in an Audi RS3 LMS TCR.
The teenager becomes the second driver in as many days from the International Series to be confirmed at Monza, with Stefano Comini having been announced in a Top Run Subaru.
