Jean-Karl Vernay joins Teamwork for TCR China outing

TCR International Series frontrunner Jean-Karl Vernay will join Teamwork for the Zhejiang event of TCR China, driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR alongside his commitment with Team WRT in the International Series.

TCR China will share the grid with TCR Asia as part of the support bill of the International Series at the all-new venue. The Frenchman will have an opportunity to get more valuable track time at the all-new circuit in China, although he will share the car with Alex Hui, who is fourth in the TCR China championship.

“Jean-Karl’s participation with Teamwork is a rare and exciting opportunity,” said Hui. “We as a team should benefit from his expertise, especially at a new circuit with very limited practice time shared by two drivers.”

Teamwork are leading the TCR China championship with Alex Fung and Sunny Wong, two points ahead of New Faster Team’s Andy Yan.
