Andy Yan wins the second TCR China race for New Faster Team at Shanghai

CTCC star Andy Yan, on double duty this weekend racing in both his CTCC Ford and the New Faster Team’s Audi RS 3, has won the second round of the series at Shanghai, despite a late charge from the Volkswagen Golf of Filipe de Souza and Samuel Hsieh.

Yan led throughout the race, initially leading a New Faster Team 1-2 with Race 1 winner Huang Chu Han following behind him, but as the race progressed, the Teamwork Volkswagens were working their way through the order, with Hsieh/de Souza, and the #31 Golf of Paul Poon and Alex Hui passing Huang’s Audi on the final lap.

Huang finished fourth, comfortably ahead of Sunny Wong and Alex Fung’s Volkswagen, who likewise passed two cars on the final lap, grabbing fifth from the HE Racing Volkswagen of Han Hui Lin and Tian Li Ying.

The aggregate results of the day will set the grid for the extended race tomorrow, with a driver change.
