Francisco Mora scores pole position for Race 2 in Portimao

Veloso Motorsport’s Francisco Mora took pole position for the second race of the TCR Iberian series, taking place this afternoon at Portimao.

Standings leader Mora set the best time of 1:54.708 with his SEAT León TCR, with first race pole man Francisco Abreu in second, 0.261 seconds behind at the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

César Machado took his SEAT León TCR to third place, with Patrick Cunha placing the sole Audi RS 3 LMS in fourth, 0.948 seconds off the pace.

The SEATs of Edgar Florindo, Faust Salom, Joao Carvalho and Ricardo Gomes followed, with the latter 3.186 seconds off the pace in eighth position. Rita Graca was ninth and last, having only completed a slow installation lap.

Race 2 is scheduled for 17:35 local time.
