Andreas Ahlberg fastest in STCC warm-up

Andreas Ahlberg was fastest in a low-key warm-up session for the first round of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship at Knutstorp.

The Micke Kågered Racing driver headed Dennis Strandberg by four-hundredths of a second, leading a Volkswagen one-two, with PWR’s Robert Dahlgren third fastest in the SEAT.

Niklas Lilja was the highest placed Honda in fourth, just ahead of Daniel Haglöf in the second PWR car.

Albin Wärnelöv made it two Lestrup Racing cars in the top six, ending the session over a tenth and a half faster than front-row starter Fredrik Blomstedt in the KMS VW Golf GTI.

Spitting Blomstedt and race one pole-sitter Fredrik Ekblom, who had a quiet session in the other KMS car in ninth, was Micke Ohlsson in the first of the Audi Rs3 LMS machines, while Marcus Annervi completed the top 10 in his Civic.
