Fábio Mota back for his second ETCC season

Fábio Mota will be back in the 2017 FIA European Touring Car Cup, kicking off at Monza this weekend, for his second season.

The Portuguese will drive a SEAT León for Lein Racing with technical support from Lema Racing that he raced for last season to finish seventh overall.

“I believe that Lein Racing with the technical support from Lema Racing will give me a competitive car at Monza and all the conditions to allow me to fight for good results,” said Mota.

”However, the grid, this year, will be stronger than in 2016. We will work hard since the first moment to be able to fight for the top positions, but it will be a great challenge.”

Mota comes from a background of GT cars, touring cars and single seaters, claiming the runner-up position in the 2012 Portuguese GT4 Championship.
