Jeff Smith confirmed to continue racing with Eurotech

Jeff Smith has been confirmed to continue driving for his Eurotech Racing team in the 2017 British Touring Car Championship behind the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R.

“We have a full testing programme in place which includes a week long test in Spain at the end of February, so I believe we will be in a strong position to move forwards in 2017,” said Smith.

The 50-year-old finished 18th last season with sixth place as his best individual result. Smith, who is also the team principal of Eurotech Racing, is currently working hard on the preparations for the coming season with the team.

“You can’t stand still in this championship, back at base in our new 8,000 square foot state of the art workshop the team have been flat out since we finished the last round at Brands Hatch,” said Smith.

The team is currently in search for a new second driver as Martin Depper has left the team.
