Dusan Borkovic pleased with third despite heat in Singapore

Dusan Borkovic finished Free Practice in third, one second off the pace. The B3 Racing driver set his lap time on old tyres, which leaves him happy, also considering his lack of experience at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

“It’s the first time I race here and did not do any specific preparation prior to it, like simulator of watching TV footage,” said the Serbian. “I just walked the entire track yesterday, little by little.”

The lack of preparation and the old tyres were not much of a problem compared to the scorching heat of Singapore: “It’s nice to be third, even on old tyres, but track conditions are surely going to change a lot before tomorrow. What I can say is that it is really very hot in the car, maybe the worst heat conditions I ever encountered in my career.”

Borkovic is still looking for his maiden TCR win.
