Adrien Tambay receives penalty for Augusto Farfus collision
Audi Sport driver Adrien Tambay has been penalised after being found responsible for a collision with BMW’s Augusto Farfus in today’s race at the Nürburgring.
The two drivers came together during lap eight, with Tambay pushing Farfus into a spin. The Audi Team Rosberg driver had to retire with damage, whilst the Brazilian recovered and continued to finish 22nd and last.
The stewards found Tambay to blame for the incident, handing him a three-place grid drop penalty for tomorrow’s race.
