James Nash sure mistakes will produce overtaking
I had a lap disallowed in Q1, I would like to see the footage because I was being extremely careful as last time out in Imola I had the same issue. It didn’t matter anyway, my following lap was quicker, but I still want to check.
I normally like tracks I perform well at, and Oschersleben was my first European event – and that was a podium. It’s very easy to overdrive, which is why I think people made mistakes today.
I think they’ve shown how they are on track with each other and and with others. I’m pretty sure they have a “don’t touch” rule, just like we do, and that’s normal, but there’s no need to hope for them to make contact, mistakes will come anyway and produce the overtaking.
There’s a couple of tenths on the table, but you have to consider that I also have success ballast in my car. It’s not so easy to take, especially on a track where we don’t have long straights, which would help our cars pick up some pace. It’s about heavy braking zones and turning the car in, which is not easy to do with an extra 20 kg. I wasn’t expecting to finish third, I expected to be around sixth to eighth, for me it was about a clean lap and avoid making mistakes.
