Toyota sign Ricardo Zonta for 200km of Buenos Aires endurance race

Toyota Team Argentina have confirmed their driver line-up for the 200km of Buenos Aires, part of the Super TC 2000 Championship calendar, with Brazilian driver Ricardo Zonta returning to the team to pair with Esteban Guerrieri at the event.

The Toyota squad will again pair Gabriel Ponce de León with former champion Matías Rossi for the endurance event, both winners of the 2015 endurance race, while Ricardo Risatti will share one of the team’s Toyota Corollas with Rafael Morgenstern. The fourth car of Matias Milla will be co-driven by Franco Girolami.

“I am very happy to be back racing in Argentina for the Toyota in the year’s biggest Super TC 2000 race,” said Zonta. “While I could not run in 2014, I have very fond memories of my experience in that last year when I also accompanied Guerrieri in that competition. The Toyota Corolla is a very nice car to handle and I know it has important development since the last time I was onboard.”

This year’s event takes place on July 31st.
