Timo Glock excluded from Race 2 after technical infringement

BMW Motorsport driver Timo Glock, who was second in today’s Race 2 at Hockenheim, host of the 2016 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season opener, has been excluded from the results of the race after a technical infraction.

The scrutineers found that the rear cover of the BMW M4 DTM number 16 didn’t comply with the measurements established in article 3.7 of the Technical Regulations.

Glock has thus been excluded from the results, with all following drivers moving up one position. This means that fellow BMW drivers Augusto Farfus and Maxime Martin now complete the podium, with Audi’s Mike Rockenfeller now collecting the final point in tenth place.
