First image of new Ford Mondeo race car for 2016 STCC

Brovallen Design has released the first image of their new Ford Mondeo race car for the 2016 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship.

The team switches from Kia to Ford, stating that the switch comes in preparation for the rumoured switch to TCR regulations in the STCC from 2017.

Confirmed driver is Rasmus Mårthen who joined the team at mid-point last year to finish 12th overall with a fifth position as best result.

“It is going to be incredible to drive a Ford Mondeo. Ford has been close to my heart over the years as I have had a local Ford dealer in Sweden supporting me since the start of my career. It will be great to drive a brand that they sell,” said Mårthen.

The 2016 STCC season starts next weekend with the airport race in Skövde.
