Fredrik Lestrup doubles up at Oschersleben

Swedish driver Fredrik Lestrup won the second round of the 2016 DTC series at Oschersleben in the Besaplast Racing MINI John Cooper Works, crossing the line just under a second ahead of the Wolf Racing Ford Fiesta ST of Heiko Hammel to complete a double victory at the first weekend.

Lestrup had started from pole position at the Oschersleben circuit, and with two wins, leaves with the lead of the standings, following on from his dominant display in 2015 when he won the title.

Alexander Rambow completed the podium in the Superproduction class in the new Feld Motorsport Kia Pro_Cee’d, with Milenko Vukovic fourth in his Audi A3.

In the Production 2 class, Kevin Metzner took the win ahead of Thomas Mühlenz, with victories shared between them over the course of the weekend, with Markus Spitzenberger winning in Production 1 with tenth overall.

The next round of the championship takes place at the Sachsenring on May 1st.
