Fredrik Lestrup claims pole for DTC Race 2 at Oschersleben
2015 ADAC Procar Series champion Fredrik Lestrup has claimed pole position for the second race of the weekend at Oschersleben in his Besaplast Racing MINI John Cooper Works ahead of Wolf Racing’s Heiko Hammel.
Lestrup was just over a tenth of a second faster than Hammel during the session, setting a time of 1:48.116 around the circuit, with the two drivers far out in front with their next closest competitor being Alexander Rambow in the Feld Motorsport Kia Pro_Cee’d, over a second down.
Konrad Motorsport’s Thomas Mühlenz was fourth fastest overall and quickest in the Production 2 class, while Dirk Lauth set the Production 1 class pole with the eighth fastest time overall in his MINI Racing Team MINI JCW.
15 cars took part in qualifying, with Superproduction front-runner Kai Jordan missing the session due to technical issues and will start last in his MINI JCW.
