Sydney Olympic Park finale scrapped for 2017

The V8 Supercars season finale at Sydney Olympic Park this year will be the last as the championship will not return to the street circuit in 2017.

“We are continuing discussions with Destination NSW about the best location for 2017 and beyond but we believe the time is right to move from Sydney Olympic Park,” said James Warburton, V8 Supercars CEO.

The V8 Supercars organisation has also announced a date change for this year’s finale from November 25-27th to December 2-4th.

“We apologise to our fans for any inconvenience but we want to do everything we can to ensure this is one of the biggest events on the 2016 calendar,” said Warburton.

Special family tickets and free general admission for the Friday of the event has been announced due to the move of date.
