The new Mercedes C63 DTM takes to the track in Monteblanco
Mercedes AMG will debut their challenger for the 2016 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season this week in Monteblanco, where all three manufacturers involved in the series will start their pre-season testing.
The Stuttgart manufacturer has taken two of their new C63 DTMs to the track in southern Spain track, where Gary Paffett, Paul Di Resta, Robert Wickens and Christian Vietoris will alternate driving duties.
Mercedes confirmed at the beginning of February the departure of champion Pascal Wehrlein, who will make his Formula 1 debut in 2016, being replaced by reserve driver Esteban Ocon. The three-point star manufacturer has also reshuffled their teams and drivers for next season.
BMW Motorsport will be at Monteblanco with former champions Marco Wittmann and Bruno Spengler joined by Augusto Farfus and Timo Glock. Audi Sport is also present, although the Ingolstadt manufacturer hasn’t confirmed which drivers will be on duty.
The DTM tests in Monteblanco start on Tuesday and will run for three days.
