16-year-old Attila Tassi signs for third B3 Racing SEAT
B3 Racing has confirmed the third and final driver for their campaign in the 2016 TCR International Series season, with Hungarian Attila Tassi confirmed alongside Serbia’s Dusan Borkovic and Slovakia’s Mat’o Homola for this year.
Tassi raced in the last three rounds of the 2015 SEAT León Eurocup with the team, scoring a pair of tenth place finishes in Monza. The 16-year-old has a longstanding relationship with the Hungarian B3 Racing team, after he started racing for them at the age of 12 in the Hungarian Suzuki Cup.
“It is a great honour and also a great opportunity for me to represent my home country and my team in a global series,” said Tassi. “I’m aware that this also means a lot of responsibility, which is why I’m spending my time in serious preparation. As the youngest driver in the field, I face a difficult task, but I can learn a lot from my experienced team-mates. My aim for the first season is to gain respect from my competitors and to be considered a serious rival.”
B3 Racing’s technical director Dávid Bári added:
“There is no question: Attila is very talented and we know he has a lot of potential. He is young, committed and exceptionally motivated to become one of Hungary’s best drivers. It was no accident that he was given the chance in the SEAT León Eurocup last year. He is the next generation for us and we completely place our trust in him.”
